Rétturinn opened on April 24, 2009.


The restaurant specializes in home-cooked meals that can be eaten on the premises or take away.


Rétturinn also runs a catering service and offers, among other things, "Þorramatur" (seasonal festive tradition) for individuals and everything up to larger "Þorrablót" (for larger groups), refreshments for Octoberfest, weddings, memorials, etc.
